Out of the box Asperato offers customers the use of paypage in a default language, this is set to English (UK).

Given the variety of businesses in different countries using paypage functionality, additional translations have been introduced and are being updated where possible.

The current list of supported languages contains English (UK), English (US), Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and German. Each option can be invoked by simply adding a locale parameter "&locale=..." to the end of the paypage URL, as shown in the following example for Spanish:

https://test.protectedpayments.net/asp/PMTemplate?pmRef=123&formType=Page&route=Card&frequency=Single&locale=es

Locale parameter values follow HTML standards and the parameter must contain the abbreviation of the desired language. The values for each option can be selected from this table:

Known Limitations:

There are several limitations that we know about that we are striving to resolve.  These are listed below:

  • If an attempt to make a payment fails then the reason for that failure will display in English.
  • The ordering of the list of countries for the billing address is only alphabetic for the English versions.
  • Standard links and buttons to paypages in the Asperato package will show in English only.

Asperato accepts no responsibility over the actual translations and our customers are strongly encouraged to do their own quality checks for errors.

Any customers that wish to use a language which is not on this list should contact Asperato Support by sending a message to support@asperato.com. We will then review each request and advise on how to complete the process. Please note that additional charges may apply.
